I have over 15 years teaching experience.  I have taught kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, sixth grade, and also 2nd grade.  I absolutely love teaching at Niota Elementary School.  Go Wildcats!

My name is Karen Bethel.  I graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1978 and shortly thereafter got married to my husband, Pat.  We have two grown children, Patrick and Glenna.  I have six wonderful grandchildren.  We moved to Tennessee 22 years ago and I am proud to call this wonderful state my home, although I still miss my family and friends in Texas.  When my daughter started school, I went back to college, receiving my Bachelor's degree from Maryville College in 1999.  Shortly thereafter In received my Master's Degree in Education from Cumberland University in 2003.  I absolutely love teaching children how to read.
